Electronic Claims Processing

Will I receive faster payment on electronic claims?
Yes! Electronic claims are normally paid much faster than claims submitted on paper. The difference could vary from a few days to a few weeks.

Why should I submit claims electronically if I know it needs an x-ray?
Insurance companies receive many claims with unnecessary attachments. In fact, some carriers say that, for every ten attachments received, only one is needed. Many insurance carriers allow providers to submit claims electronically, and they will request documentation only if necessary. Youll find that most electronic claims with x-rays take less time to process than paper claims with x-rays. Insurance companies have streamlined the process of matching up received documentation with previously submitted electronic claims, thus expediting your claim faster than paper claims. Your QUIC representative can help you set up your claims so that you are maximizing your electronic claims submissions.

How do I know which insurance companies will accept my claims electronically?
You will be provided with a list of all insurance companies that accept claims electronically from QSI. This list will be updated periodically and revisions will sent to your system. For those that dont, QSI can print and mail them for you.

Is there a cost for implementation?
No, there is no cost for implementation, training, or support.

Once I sign up, how long does it take to start processing claims through the QUIC Network?
Implementation normally takes 2-3 weeks.

Do we have to process claims daily for submission through the QUIC Network?
No, you can continue to process claims at your own pace. QSI will only retrieve and process claims based on the schedule you request.

What kind of reports will I get?
You will get three different reports: The first report is the Electronic Claims Submission report created by Program 37. This report contains a list of claims successfully created and any claims that could not be processed due to inaccurate or missing data. The second report is the QUIC Transmit Log which contains a list of all claims processed by QSI. You will receive this report each time QSI retrieves claims from your system. The third report contains any information received from the insurance companies or clearinghouses regarding your claims. This information could contain acceptance notices, requests for additional information, rejection notices, or others. More information regarding these reports will be provided during your training sessions.

How do I know that my claims were received and processed by the QUIC Network?
The "QUIC Transmit Log" report is sent to your system every time QSI processes any claims for you. This log will contain a list of all claims that are processed on a certain day.

How quickly can we start?
Minimal training and setup is required, so you can begin within a week of submitting the purchase order.

What if I want to review my statements before they go out?
You can simply run your statements into a spooler and review them. Then print the spooler into the storage file when you are ready to have them retrieved.

What if my statements are currently generated in my overnight processor?
We can setup your overnight processor to put the statements into your storage files, and they will be picked up the next night by QSI.

What if I currently have a back-stock of custom statements?
With the value of QSIs services, you are likely to still save money even though you may have existing stock.

How can I generate statements for multiple locations with different addresses within one clinic?
We will setup your overnight processor to generate your statements using each unique address into a separate storage file for retrieval and processing.

How do I know if my statements/cards/letters were picked up and processed by QSI?
You will receive a report within 24 hours of pickup by QSI detailing the number of statements, cards, or letters retrieved.

What types of letters can QSI generate?
QSI can generate collection letters, "welcome to the practice" letters, referral letters, birthday letters, marketing letters, and more. Of course, each type of letter can be customized to meet your needs.

What if I want to use my own custom logo on our statements or letters?
QSI allows for a custom logo at the top of the statement with your billing address, and any logo can be used on the top of your letters.

What if we want to include statement "stuffers"?
You can send the inserts or flyers to QSI prior to your statement run and we will include them with the statement for and additional 3 cents per statement.

If I am on the East Coast and QSI is on the West Coast, wont it take longer for the statement to reach the patient?
No. Our printing facility is located next to the postal facility at a major airport, so the mail will be delivered overnight, therefore taking approximately the same amount of time as it would if you mailed the statements yourself.

We have different businesses setup by clinic. Will we be billed separately?
Based on your needs, QSI has the ability to bill each office separately or to your central business office.

Why is this a better alternative to any other system on the market?
By utilizing this service, QSI handles the installation and ongoing management of your automated patient communication needs. There are no installation charges or phone requirements. There is full integration with your QSI practice management system, such as the update of confirmation information. As new needs arise, QSI will centrally upgrade features without additional charges.

Our office does not generate appointment reminders now, so why do we need this service?
On average, every no-show costs a practice from $100 to $125. If, by using this service, you prevent this from occurring once a week, you could save approximately $500 per month.

Do you confirm all the appointments for one household in one phone call?
Yes. Appointments on the same day for an account will be confirmed in one phone call.
