TUSTIN,
Calif. (BUSINESS WIRE) Sept. 4, 2001 Quality
Systems Inc. (Nasdaq:QSII - news) today announced that it was
named a finalist for the "Abby'' Award for Innovation in Healthcare(SM)
from the Adaptive Business Leaders (ABL) Organization.
Notification of finalist status for this prestigious award followed
a presentation given by QSI highlighting the company's innovative
QSINet/Patient Access system. QSINet/Patient Access was developed
in close cooperation with the Pratt Medical Center, a 60-physician/provider
multi-specialty practice based in Fredericksburg, Va.
QSINet/Patient Access offers numerous new ways for practices
and their patients to communicate, enhancing practice productivity
and the patient experience. Patients can use a secure Web-based
portal to fully complete registration prior to an appointment;
to make updates and additions; to view, confirm and actually
schedule as opposed to merely requesting appointments;
to obtain statement and account history information; and to
pay bills by credit card, and communicate with billing, appointment
and clinical staff.
Patients also enjoy access to the new "Rapid Response'' Nurse
Triage System developed as part of the QSINet/Patient Access
system. Rapid Response allows patients to send inquiries about
their condition via secure e-mail, and a telephone response
is guaranteed within 60 minutes. Once the type of treatment
is determined, patients can either seek immediate attention,
be scheduled with a provider by the R.N., or self-schedule an
appointment at a convenient time on-line.
QSINet/Patient Access has received strongly favorable response
from Pratt Medical patients, with 94 percent of respondents
to a survey stating that they would likely or absolutely recommend
Pratt and QSINet/Patient Access to others.
