Mirth Connect Earns 2014 ONC HIT Certification
Ambulatory Technology compliant with the ONC 2014 Edition Criteria
and Certified as an EHR Module
COSTA MESA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

information technology, announced today that Mirth®
Connect version 3.0.1 is compliant with the ONC 2014 Edition

on May 1, 2014 by the Certification Commission for Health Information
Technology (CCHIT®), an ONC-ACB, in accordance with the applicable
Eligible Providers (Ambulatory) certification criteria adopted by the
Secretary of Health and Human Services. The ONC 2014 Edition criteria
support both Stage 1 and 2 Meaningful Use measures required to qualify
eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery
and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
"Having just received certification under the hospital criteria last
month, we view this certification for ambulatory providers as a natural
progression," said Jon Teichrow, senior vice president of research and
development for Mirth. "We believe that receiving 2014 ONC HIT
Certification of Mirth Connect version 3.0.1 for both inpatient and
ambulatory care settings serves as a testament to our product's position
as one of the most innovative interoperability tools in the Health IT
market."
The ONC HIT Certification Program certifies that EHRs meet all of the
2014 Edition criteria and that EHR Modules meet one or more - but not
all - of the criteria approved by the Secretary of Health and Human
Services (HHS) for hospital technology.
"CCHIT congratulates companies that successfully achieve EHR technology
certification," said Alisa Ray, executive director, CCHIT. "These
companies are now able to make their products available to providers
wishing to adopt health IT to demonstrate Meaningful Use and earn
federal incentives."
